About WDK

Welcome to Woodlands Dog Kingdom! We can all appreciate that having good manners goes far in this world. A smile and simple “please” or “thank you” make every day interactions more pleasant. The same goes for dogs! Manners are learned. And just like people, every dog responds to different training methods.

Strong foundations

It’s no fun being dragged down the street while walking your dog. It is very stressful to have your dog react aggressively or with fear and anxiety around other dogs or people. How many times a day does your dog go bonkers when the the doorbell rings or your post is delivered? It’s embarrassing and unsafe to have your dog jump on guests as soon as they walk in the door.

WDK offers a good foundation for your dog to learn good manners and listen to you consistently. We combine focused training for your dog in a variety of methods. Some of the training tools may include prong collar, e-collar, long line, crates, treats, and/or placemats. We provide training for you, as well! How you continue the structure and training after your dog is home is key to ongoing success. Having a well-trained dog returned to you after our Board and Train programs allows you both to move forward in living a happy, fulfilled life , enjoying more freedom with your dog.

Experienced and attentive training

Ayesha, our head trainer, will explain the training program, the possible training tools that may be used for your dog, provide regular feedback, and give you written homework plans. Training programs include lessons for you too, so that new behaviors can continue once your dog is home. We love to send pics and texts about their daily life at WDK while they are here!

Family home in a country setting

WDK is located in a rural setting, in a large fenced property. Your dog will be integrated into our family home, with a variety of farm animals, family members and our pack, as part of their social training. Because we train in our home environment, your dog will experience less stress than in a group or kennel setting. We limit the number of dogs we have training at our location, to give each dog a personalized, safe experience.

Our goal is to make your dog’s training with us effective and also fun. Each dog is well cared for, given lots of snuggles and pets while they are here. Dogs have both indoor and outdoor time, and will have their own secure space to sleep or relax.
